Join us for the
Jim Walsh Bike Ride for Kids with Cancer
Fundraiser
This annual ride is named after Jim Walsh also greatly known as "Jimbo the Hobo" who has sadly past away of cancer himself in September 2012 at 72. He was a community fundraiser who, over the years, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various charities through a range of events, including bike rides.
Organizers now; Denis Larocque and Marc Dubeau are keeping the tradition by hosting the Jim Walsh Bike Ride.
Proceeds from the Jim Walsh Bike Ride are turned over to “Help A Child Smile”. A Non-Profit organization which supports children who are battling cancer and helps their families.
Now in its third decade, HACS is serving over 800 families whose child is being treated for cancer at McMaster Children's Hospital. There is an average of 150 children in active chemotherapy at any given time.
