Puerto Rico Heroes Fundraiser

After hearing about the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, our Madison 5th graders wanted to help! We talked to a woman named Sari, who lives in Puerto Rico, and found out that it's going to be a very long time until they have electricity and water and even longer before their businesses are back up and running! So, our students came up with ideas to start raising money to help them, including selling t-shirts, bracelets and hot chocolate. They’re even going to have a garage sale in the Spring!

This year, 10% of every Stars and Spikes registration is being donated to the Puerto Rico Heroes fund. If you would like to donate beyond that or find out more information about the Puerto Rico Heroes fund, click here! You will also have the opportunity to buy Puerto Rico Heroes t-shirts and bracelets at Packet Pick-Up and on Race Day!

This fundraiser has been all students, they have been amazing and we know they would appreciate any other donations made to their cause in helping the people of Puerto Rico!
