Thank you for joining us on this exciting 5k event as we run / walk through the Historic Dowie Memorial Drive and through the streets of Zion. We are raising money to support a team of volunteers from Trinity Christian Center to go to Bogota, Colombia. Our team will partner with Children’s Vision International to help the destitute children of Bogota who are at risk and change their destiny through the Gospel. With your help, we will provide food, clothing, medical care, education, a home, hope, and a future for these children who are victims of poverty. Thank you for your support.

Run for Bogota 5K Run/walk Event
REGISTRATION PRICE INCREASE HAS BEEN FROZEN. ONLINE REGISTRATION ON OR BEFORE 7/21/19 WILL REMAIN SET AT $25. REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY WILL INCREASE TO $35.
T-SHIRT ORDERS ARE GUARANTEED FOR THE FIRST 50 REGISTRANTS.
The information below will help you plan your race day festivities.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Saturday, July 21
7:30 am – 8:45 am Race day registration
9:00 am Runners wave begins. There will not be corral assignments.
9:05 am Walkers wave begins
10:30 am Awards for age categories and overall place finishers at the band shell
PACKET PICK UP
Our primary packet pick up day
Wednesday 7/18 from 5pm – 8 pm
Zion Culvers located at 3335 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL
% of Culver’s food orders that night will go towards the Bogota Fund Raiser
You can also pick up your packet on race morning starting at 7:30 am
BIB NUMBER
·Your bib number is a unique identifier that must be worn and visible at all times on race day.
·Fill out the back of your bib number with your emergency contact and medical information
·Your bib number is non-transferable and must be worn only by you.
·The sale or transfer of your bib number is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
PARKING
Ample parking is available at the Zion Leisure Center Parking lot. Please plan to arrive early as roads may be closed due to the race.
GEAR CHECK
There will not be a gear check station on the day of the race. Please secure all belongings in your own vehicles or with family member or friend who is not running. We will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
TOILET FACILITIES
Toilet facilities will be located at the start / finish line in the lobby of the Zion Leisure Center.
AID STATIONS
Aid stations will be located at the start / finish line area.
WATER STATION/ REFRESHMENTS
There will be 1 water station located just past the 1.5 mile mark. Refreshments will also be distributed post- race at the finish line.
RACE RESULTS
Race results will be posted on Race Time’s website. Personalized results and Finisher’s Certificates will be sent to all participants that have given a valid email address.
AGE GROUPS
Medals will be given to the top Male & Female runners in the following age categories:14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-65, 66 and above. Top 3 male and female overall finishers will also receive an additional medal.
