About Save-A-Pet:
Save-A-Pet is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County that operates a full-time adoption center. We provide a safe haven for abused, neglected, injured, lost, or animals that have escaped euthanasia. We never put a limit on the amount of care we provide for an animal and we never give up on them. Thus, Save-A-Pet offers rescued dogs and cats the greatest opportunity for a second chance. We take great pride in practicing our no-kill mission and in stewarding our donors’ contributions; both of which have led to the successful adoption of over 63,000 dogs and cats.

Can't make it on race day? Want to break up the distance over multiple days? Then the virtual walk/run is for you! You can also bike, swim or do any movement of your choice.

Event Info
5K Timed Run
Participants will receive a backpack with race materials, race t-shirt, an a paw-shaped participation medal.
The first place overall finishers (male and female) will receive trophies.
The top three finishers for males and females within each age group will receive trophies.
6-Legged Fun Run/Walk
Bring your four-legged friend for exercise and socialization while supporting Save-A-Pet.
All 6-Legged Fun Run/Walk human participants will receive a backpack and a race t-shirt.
Virtual Run/Walk
Can’t make it on race day? Want to break up the distance over multiple days? Then the virtual run/walk is for you!
Each participant will receive a backpack, race t-shirt and a participation medal.
Pre Race Day Packet Pick Up Will take place on Friday, June 28 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at:
