Tinley Park Life Safety 5K

This USATF Certified (IL 15041NM), family oriented 5K Run/Walk and 1K Youth Fun Run is sponsored by the Tinley Park Fire Department. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Fire Safety Alliance “Camp I Am Me” Burn Camp and their Preventive Programs. For more information please visit: www.ifsa.org. Together We Cope Food Drive

A Food Drive will be held supporting Together We Cope, a nonprofit homeless prevention agency based in Tinley Park and serving families in crisis from 27 south suburban communities. Most needed items at TWC’s food pantry, which feeds 5,000 people each month, include beans, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, pasta and rice in 1 pound packages, peanut butter and jelly, soup, tomato products, tuna and baby food.

Please bring non-perishable items to support the mission of this Tinley Park organization.

Race to Recovery Running Series

The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s Road to Recovery Running Series is about growing the IFSA by spreading awareness through participation in various fun races around the Chicagoland area with others that have a similar passion. The Running Series includes the Run for Your Life Safety 5K, the Hero Hustle in Glenview, the Railside 4/7 in Elburn and the Stop Drop & Run in Naperville. The following awards will be given in the 5K:

First Overall Male and First Overall Female.

Top 3 Finishers in Each Age Group:

10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over

All 1K youth participants will receiving finisher medals!

7:00AM Registration opens

8:30AM Youth 1K Fun Run Begins (Age 10 & Under)

8:45AM 5K Run/Walk Begins (at the conclusion of the 1K)

9:45AM Award Ceremony
