Our Mission: Kids Against Hunger Illinois is a non-profit, volunteer driven, locally funded organization that packages dry, highly nutritious food for hungry people in America and starving people in Nicaragua. We provide opportunities for groups, families and individuals to volunteer in packaging the food, funding the efforts and helping its recipients move from starvation or food insecurity to self-sufficiency.

The Race To Stop Hunger 5k started in 2015 and raises money for Kids Against Hunger-Illinois (formally Fox-Valley). This is our 7th annual race and through this event we have fed over 222,000 children in the last 6 years! Your Registration dollars and donations buy the products we use at packing events and create the meals we send to the children and families. Our satellite has packed more than 4.3 million meals and going strong!
During the Covid pandemic we have fed 193,000 meals and counting. From Chicago and Detroit to Nicaragua we are trying to bring volunteers and funds together to package these meals and get them to those in need. Our new Packing Event Center at Stratford Square Mall, Bloomingdale, Illinois is currently working on a new shipment. We are a non-profit, volunteer driven, locally funded organization that packages dry, highly nutritious food for hungry kids and families around the world and around the corner.
