2022 HICKORY KNOLLS
TRAIL RUN & RELAY
We are returning to the trails of the Hickory Knolls Nature Area in St Charles for the 2nd annual HICKORY KNOLLS Trail Run & Relay on Sunday, May 15th.
Come out and run the grass and dirt trails over an approximate 3-mile loop course through a beautiful and diverse natural area just as spring begins to blossom. The first portion of the loop is relatively flat, while a couple of hills await in the latter portion of the loop. The trail is primarily wide-track, allowing for easy passing or running alongside a friend, and the route is very well marked.
You can participate in either the Individual Runner 5k (one loop) or 10k (two loops) distance, or pair up with family or friend in the 2-person relay (each person does one loop).
Sponsored by Dick Pond Athletics and Brooks Running, the proceeds from this event benefit the St Charles Park District.

New for 2022! The Dick Pond Athletics Triple Trail Challenge!!
Plans are already in the works for three events in 2022 sponsored by Dick Pond Athletics – the Hickory Knolls Trail Run & Relay in May, an all-new event in August, and the Big Timber XC Challenge in November.
Anyone who pre-registers for – and finishes! – the longer distance race at each of these events qualifies for the DPA Triple Trail Challenge (DPA TTC) premium swag item. The swag item is still to be determined, but you can be sure it will be sweet!
Three races, three different seasons, three different sites, and three different distances.
A few guidelines:
· There is NO additional fee to participate in the Dick Pond Athletics Triple Trail Challenge. Simply pay the entry fee for each race when the event registration opens. Also, you do NOT need to commit to all three events prior to running the first one.
· You must register for and finish the LONGER distance race at each event. This would be the individual runner 10K at Hickory Knolls, the 5-mile at Big Timber, and the to-be-determined longer distance at the August event. If you choose to participate in the 2-person relay at Hickory Knolls, you do NOT qualify for the DPA TTC swag item. Also, if you miss Hickory Knolls, you are out of the challenge. Run Hickory Knolls and then miss either the August event or Big Timber, and you’re out. To be in, you gotta do all three.
· You MUST use the same name when registering for each event. If the name is Robert Smith for Hickory Knolls, it must be Robert Smith for the next two. It cannot be Rob Smith or Bob Smith or R Smith or any other variation for the other two.
· The DPA TTC is an INDIVIDUAL challenge. While this is an individual challenge, we will post everyone’s cumulative time after the second and third event, allowing you to see how others who are participating in the challenge are doing.
