Start Times:

• 8:30 a.m. - 1 Mile Run/Walk
• 8:30 a.m. - Kids 1 Mile Run/Walk
• 9:00 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk

Schedule:

• 7:00-8:45 a.m. - Packet pick-up, Registration
• 7:30 a.m. - Judging for the “Best of” competition will take place in the Registration area
• 8:30 a.m. - 1 Mile Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Run/Walk
• 9:00 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk
• 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m - Post-race party (Family-friendly post race activities: coffee truck, live DJ, slip and slide, henna tattoos, bounce house, and more!)
• 10:30 a.m. - Race ends (course time limit expires) and award ceremony follows at Christ Community Church
• 11:30 a.m - Event ends

Registration Fees for 1 Mile & 5K: 100% of fee goes to free, employ, and empower women

• April 19 - June 9 - $35
• June 10 - July 28 - $40
• July 29 - August 3 - $45

Race Time Limit:

• 1 Mile - 30 minutes
• 5 K - 1.5 hrs

Packet Pickup: There are three opportunities to pick up your race packet.

• Advance: Thursday, August 1st and Friday, August 2nd from 5:30-8 p.m. at Christ Community Church
• At the race: Saturday at the race beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Parking: Ample free parking is available at Katz Park and Dekalb High School. DHS parking lot will be closed from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Awards: The Aruna Sport Duffel, hand-made by Aruna Artisans, will be awarded to the top female finisher, top male finisher, and top fundraiser in addition to a $50 Aruna Shop gift card.

• Medals - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners of all races.
• Certificates - 1st, 2nd & 3rd place certificates (female and male categories) for the following age groups: (Under 10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-30, 31-36, 37-42, 43-49, 50-57, 58-64, 65+)
• "The Most Drip" (Swagger and athletic style)*
• "Best-Decorated Stroller" (Be creative)*
• "Best Costume" (Appropriate for all audiences, please)*
• "Bust a Move" (Show the judges your best dance moves)*
• "The Fiercest Finish" (For the strongest finisher)*
• "The Turtle" (Bringing up the rear isn't a bad thing at this race)
• "Quickest" (Youngest finisher)
• "Wisest" (Eldest finisher)
• "Most Enthusiastic Supporter" (Awarded to someone from the cheering section)*
• "Best Team Theme" (Be creative)*

This year's Aruna Run swag features a packable backpack -- made in freedom by Aruna Artisans -- and a District Short Sleeve Shirt. Register by July 14th to guarantee your shirt and desired size.

Aruna is an international human rights non-profit dedicated to creating lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking. The Aruna Run Race Series is the catalyst of the freedom process with 100% of registration fees and additional donations going to help free trafficked women. So grab some friends, lace up your shoes, and let's run together for her freedom!

Build Your Team
Registering as a team captain and building a team is one of the most powerful ways you can support the cause as 100% of registration fees go to free, employ, and empower trafficked women. For every TEN people who join your team, you'll receive a $25 Aruna gift card! Gift cards will be emailed the week after the run and can be redeemed online at www.arunaproject.com.

Fundraise Together
You can take your team's impact to the next level by committing to individual fundraising goals. Individual fundraising pages are automatically created for you when you register for the run in Race Roster. You can then share donation links with family and friends via social media, e-mail, and text message.

For every $250 you individually raise, you will earn a $25 Aruna gift card! Gift cards will be emailed the week after the run and can be redeemed online at www.arunaproject.com.

Are walkers welcome?
Of course! Whether walking or running, we are all out there for the same goal -- to raise funds to help bring freedom to the sexually enslaved.

Are dogs welcome?
As much as we love our furry, four-legged friends, they are not allowed to participate in the race. However, they are welcome to cheer on the sidelines along the course.

Can I push a stroller?
Yes! You are welcome to push a stroller in the race. We just ask that you start towards the back to ensure the safety of all participants. A child being pushed in a stroller does not need to be registered for the race.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Nope! As long you can cover the distance, we welcome all ages to participate.
