Welcome to the 11th (almost) annual Fowler Fireworks Frenzy! We hope to see you at beautiful Fowler Park, Fowler IN, on July 4th, at 8:00 AM ET! You may register online at our website or by mailing a form to Diane Costello, 1005 E 10th ST, Fowler, IN 47944. We are happy to announce that we are once again partnering with Fowler Rotary, which means that ALL registrants may enjoy a Fowler Rotary Pancake breakfast after the race for FREE! Your ticket of admission is your race bib!

T-SHIRT DEADLINE: MONDAY, JUNE 17TH! WE WILL ORDER EXTRAS, BUT WILL THEY BE IN YOUR SIZE???

This event is hosted by Fowler Community Center, who is also our beneficiary. Within the last year the Community Center has been able to add a complete line of NEW workout equipment! We provide this equipment to our community for FREE as a way to encourage healthy life styles to ALL our residents! We are dependent upon our local government bodies, the voluntary support of members of our community who use our facility and fundraisers such as bake sales and our two annual 5-K's (the RunRunRudolph and the Fowler Fireworks Frenzy) to "keep the doors open."

As we set the cost for each event we host, we try to keep our registration fees family-friendly, but each year we all know that a little price hike here and there adds up. As a result of that, we are increasing our registration fee to $29 this year (which of course includes your shirt) and $10 for a shirt ordered without registration. (Other expenses include insurance, awards, postage, and the electronic timing of the results by Race Time.)

Please note: Our liability insurance does not allow dogs (other than certified service animals) on the 5K course!

Age Groups & Awards: Most age groups are in increments of 5 years. It is our intention that all finishers receive a medal at our awards ceremony, assuming we don't run out. . . , medals, just like shirts, need to be ordered roughly 2 weeks before the event, which is why we STRONGLY encourage you NOT wait until the last minute (on race morning) to register!

WHAT IS FOWLER COMMUNITY CENTER???

Many of you still think of that building at 218 E 5th ST as "Fowler Senior Center", which is governed by the Benton County Council on Aging. Several years ago we changed our name to reflect our mission to serve our entire community. Yes, much of what we do caters to the needs of our "seniors", but certainly not exclusively. First of all, our new director, Courtney Thurston, who was hand-picked and groomed for the job by retired and much beloved director Karen Phillips, is VERY YOUNG, in her early 20's, actually, which means she brings different perspectives and skills to her job BECAUSE of her youth! And PLEASE don't hold her youth against her! She can hold her own with any of our "seniors".

We are here, as a result, to serve our entire COMMUNITY! There are plenty of activities that are enjoyed mainly by our seniors, such as morning "Coffee and Conversation", which is summed up by many as the opportunity to KNOW exactly what is going on in our town from the people who really know! And there is Thursday Euchre, attended by mostly seniors, but anyone is welcome. Some of our exercise classes cater especially to seniors, but again NOT EXCLUSIVELY! And some of our exercise classes definitely cater to people of all age groups. And we must not forget the Midland Meals that we deliver to anyone in our community who qualifies, and there is also our inventory of medical equipment which can be borrowed for FREE.

And as you walk in the door, you will immediately notice our NEW line of state-of-the-art workout equipment , recently acquired by a grant. The only age restriction is that you do need to be 18 to use the equipment! Our equipment is available to the public 24/7! We encourage you to get a key (for a small deposit) to our facility from Courtney so that you can access it whenever it fits your schedule. There is no membership fee or monthly dues. And you get your deposit back if you decide you no longer need the key.

Finally, we welcome families and groups who need a place to host parties or meetings. Talk to Courtney for details on rentals.

As a result of these services we provide, we ALWAYS welcome donations! Our major fund raisers are the Fowler Fireworks Frenzy 5K, the RunRunRudolph 5K in December, and our bake sales! So, if you would like to "pad" your registration fee with a little bit extra, we won't turn you down!!!
