Waterloo Region's largest race in it's 17th annual running. Run right down King Street in the Oktoberfest spirit!
Through individual pledges and participation, and through the support of many generous corporate sponsors, The Oktoberfest Run has become a successful annual fundraising event. It is our objective to organize a fun, safe and healthy athletic event for the citizens of Waterloo Region and beyond, while maintaining a community responsibility to local charitable organizations and their causes.
With your entry, you will help us reach our objective.

Family Rate Closed
$25 discount applied to third family member. $30 discount applied to 4th family member and beyond. Each family member must select this option for discount to apply. To receive the family discount, all family members must register online at the same time. Family members wishing to join the event at a later date will not be entitled to the family discount.

Entry Fees
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Family Rate for 3 people in the same family is $95. Add $10 for each additional person in the same family (eg. 4 people = $105, 5 people = $115, etc).

Only the first 1,400 entries will receive a FREE 2013 limited edition long-sleeve t-shirt. Register today – don’t be disappointed!

Deadline for Mail In or Drop Off entries is Tuesday October 15 at 6:00 p.m. After that date, entries will be accepted on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at the times listed below.

Race Start
9:30 a.m. Starting at Conestoga Mall and finishing at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (WMRC).
Directions to WMRC: From Hwy #401, take Hwy #8 West to Hwy #85 Waterloo to University Ave. W. to Albert St. to Caroline St. to Erb St. W. to Father David Bauer Dr. Father David Bauer Dr. is under construction, but still accessible from Erb. St. W. only (not Westmount Rd.). Note that access to Father David Bauer Dr. will be impeded by runners between 9:50 and 11:00am.
Directions to Conestoga Mall: From Hwy #401 take Hwy #8 West to Hwy #85 Waterloo to 550 King St. N. in Waterloo (look for the signs for the Mall).
Note: We recommend that participants park at WMRC and take the shuttle bus to the start at Conestoga Mall. Shuttle buses begin at 7:30 a.m. The last shuttle bus leaves at 8:50 a.m.
There are no shuttle buses after the race to take participants back to Conestoga Mall.
Race Kit & Chip Pick Up
Can be picked up at Conestoga Mall on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at the Registration times listed above.
Course Details and Information
Runner’s gear will be transported from the start line at Conestoga Mall to the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (WMRC) and stored in a supervised area. Gear must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen articles. First Aid, change facilities and showers are available at WMRC. Each KM is marked and is clearly visible. Times will be called at the Mile and 5 KM marks. Water Stations: 1 on the 5 KM course / 3 on the 10 KM course Courses are certified distances.
Post Race
Following your run, enjoy barbecued hot dogs and sausages, fresh fruit, and bagels – all free with your entry! Live musical entertainment, massage and draw prizes will also precede the awards ceremony.
Don't miss the first running of the 200m Kids Fun Run! Once around the track at 11:15. The cutest Oktoberfest Run ever!
Awards
For both the 10 KM & 5 KM events.
Awards will be presented to the:
top 3 Male and Female, Overall & Masters (age 40 ). top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age and weight category. 1st place team in each Team Category.
Prize Money for the top 3 Males and Female, Overall and Masters (age 40 ):
1st - $100 2nd - $75 3rd - $50
Draw Prizes
Everyone is eligible for hundreds of dollars of merchandise, as well as the Grand Prize Draw:
$250 Cash
Winners must be present to claim prizes.
Team Fundraising Prizes
Each Team must complete a Team Registration Form. Please call (226) 750-0017 for form or more information.
CORPORATE:
Entry Fee is $30 per person, and each team must raise a minimum $1000 in pledges.
Prizes for the top 3 corporate teams collecting the highest amount in pledges are:
1st Place - a $750 gift certificate for a team party at Applebee's Cambridge | 2nd Place - a $350 gift certificate for a team party at Applebee's Cambridge | 3rd Place - a pizza party
SCHOOL:
Entry Fee is $25 per person, and each team must raise a minimum $500 in pledges.
Prizes for the top 3 school teams collecting the highest amount in pledges are:
1st Place - a $500 gift certificate to the store of your choice 2nd Place - 25 specially crested t-shirts 3rd Place - a pizza party
Individual Fundraising Prizes
Grand Prize: For the individual collecting the most pledges by race day – beautiful T-Shirt Quilt and a free entry to The 2014 Oktoberfest Run.
Prizes for the next top 4 Individuals: $100 Conestoga Mall Gift Card, Saucony Jazz Running Shoes and a free entry to The 2014 Oktoberfest Run.
