3rd Annual Bay Area Cross Challenge
Open/Recreational 5k Cross Country Race (2.5- 2k Loops)
Open/Elite Men's 8k Cross Country Race (4- 2k Loops)
Open/Elite Women's 6k Cross Country Race (3- 2k Loops)
NEW FEATURE for 2013 - YOU are on the same team with elites, professionals, and even Olympians!
ALL participants will be randomly assigned one of FIVE teams identified by color-coded bibs.
Each team's top TWO finishers from each race (8k, 6k, 5k) will comprise their scoring team.
ALL members of the winning team (NOT just the six scoring memberrs) will receive a 2013 BAXC sweatshirt.
Cheer on YOUR team members in the other races, before or after your own, and stick around for the awards to see how your team did!

Awards & Prizes
Open/Elite Prize $ structure TBD (Men's 8k / Women's 6k)
Open/Community top finishers will receive gift certificates: $150, $100, $50 for each men & women.
Packet Pick-Up
Race packet pick-up will be at Sports Basement, Presidio Store (610 Old Mason St, San Francisco), Saturday, January 12th, 1:00-5:00PM. All are encouraged to come for the last hour of packet pick-up, 4-5 PM. Elite and professional athletes will be on hand during that hour for meet & greet with the running community, autographs by professional athletes, and media interviews conducted.
Be a part of the buzz, and meet your "TEAM" for the following day!
Race-day packet pick-up will also be available, beginning at 8:00AM.
Location
BAXC Start/Finish and event area will be at the southwest corner of the Golden Gate Park Polo Fields arena.
Google map directions: enter "Middle Drive and MLK Drive, Golden Gate Park"
Parking available on Middle Drive and Mlk Drive.
Be advised that Golden Gate Park roadways east of 19th Ave. are closed on Sundays; Chain of Lakes Dr is the best access point to BAXC from either side of Golden Gate Park.
