Fleet Feet, in conjunction with Palo Alto Grand Prix is proud to present the Fifth Annual Super Bowl Shuffle, on Thursday, February 7th at the Fleet Store in Menlo Park. The run will start at 6:30; we encourage you to get to the store by 6:15 to review the course and get familiarized with rules for the card game (poker hands win!) The Shuffle is not a race (and will not be scored in the Grand Prix), rather a fun community run. It is a non-competitive way for the Grand Prix to remind you that the spring season will be starting on March 2rd with the Juana Run.
What is the Super Bowl Shuffle:
The Super Bowl Shuffle combines our love of running, football and playing cards. Here's how we do it:
We've set out a three mile course.
When you finish, you will be dealt the first card of your hand.
When you return back to Fleet Feet, you will be dealt the final four cards of your hand.
The top 2 hands win prizes ($50 Fleet Feet Cards)
You can earn up to 3 hands.
Extra hands can be earned by being the first male or female back to the store (which is hard) .....
......or wearing a football jersey (which is easy)

The Top two hands will be two $50 gift cards. That's right, $50 gift cards to the people who have the top 2 poker hands.

Super Bowl Shuffle History:
Now in it's Vth (fifth) year, 100% of the proceeds of the Super Bowl Shuffle go to programs that support sport for social change. Past donations have gone to Street Soccer USA, From Our Feet (shipping shoes to Djibouti), and the Crohn's Colitis Foundation. This year we will proceeds will benefit a start-up track program in Haiti at Ecole de Choix. As a former athlete and a junior high coach (St. Raymond's School in Menlo Park), I can't articulate the value that running and track and field can have on a young person's life. This year's donations will bring sport to Haiti!
