About Team YMCA & Clinics
Greenswell and TriColumbus have partnered with the YMCA of Central Ohio to create a comprehensive training program called Team YMCA designed to prepare and support athletes at all levels for endurance events. At these YMCA of Central Ohio branch locations – Delaware, Downtown, Gahanna, Grove City, Hilltop, Pickaway, and Powell - we have assembled a team of coaches with specialties in each component of triathlon and created a triathlon training program to help you achieve your race goals. The program consist of weekly individual and group workouts is designed to insure athletes participating in endurance events have a positive experience during the preparation stage as well as on race day.
One of the key elements of the Team YMCA training program is to create a swim-centric training program by developing a series of Swim clinics to improve an athlete's swimming speed and endurance by focusing on stroke technique and overall efficiency in the water. Triathletes will learn new drills to help isolate specific technique issues while also maximizing muscle memory with correct repetition. The clinics will allow you to break down to the fundamentals and progressively build to more advanced drills from one week to the next and from one clinic to the next clinic.
