FEATURED BREWERY
PRESENTED BY
Produced by the Asheville Radio Group and Kick It Event Management, the Race to the Taps running series is no pub crawl! It features six, brand new 4-mile, chip timed road races. Each course is designed with varying degrees of difficulty appropriate for both the seasoned runner as well as the casual runner/walker. Strollers and pets will not be allowed.
The Highland Brewing Company race will start and end in the outdoor Meadow beside the Highland Brewing Tap Room and highlights East Asheville with a mixed-surface terrain in the brewery’s surrounding neighborhood.
The first 500 runners will receive a Race to the Taps can koozie as well as a cotton race t-shirt. All runners receive a beer pour after the race (must be at least 21 years old). Additional beer will be available for purchase.

About Highland Brewing Company
Highland Brewing Company has brewed the highest quality craft beer since 1994. With an expansion underway (opening 2015) and small batches flowing from the pilot room, each visit to the brewery is unique.
Family-owned, Highland is Asheville’s first legal brewery since Prohibition. It is a local favorite for beer fans, music fans, and families. The spacious tasting room and grassy meadow are inviting gathering spaces, both with music stages and bars. Tours are led seven days a week and free live music is featured on weekends.
Highland’s name honors the Scots Irish who settled in the Appalachian mountains in the 18th and 19th centuries. Adding to the tradition of honor, all seasonal beers are named after protected features of the North Carolina landscape. Seasonal release parties raise funds for land conservation.
