Help Stephanie raise money

I am so excited to announce I will be running my first Falmouth Road Race on behalf of Team Joslin! Team Joslin raises invaluable funds that go directly toward day-to-day care, research programs to help advance their mission of finding a cure, and patient education programs for Joslin Diabetes Center. My sister has lived with Type 1 and has been a patient at Joslin Diabetes Center for most of her life.

Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease that destroys the body’s ability to make insulin, a hormone used to break down and store energy in the form of glucose from foods. Aside from the constant need to monitor blood sugar and administer insulin multiple times per day, the disease often results in long-term health problems from the stress put on the body by high and low blood sugar.
