Welcome to Summerside TriLobster Triathlon

Are you looking for a fun family event? The third annual Summerside Trilobster Triathlon has events for all ages and abilities from Kids of Steel to supersprint to standard races and the new Triathlon Canada Under 26 Draft Legal events featuring heats on Saturday, July 15 and finals on Sunday, July 16. Only the Under 26 development heats will be held on Saturday. All other races will take place on Sunday.

Come to beautiful Summerside PEI, sample the beaches and Island hospitality while participating in an exciting triathlon on a scenic, fast , flat course in beautiful Summerside , PEI.

Participant medal, medals for 1-3 in each category and T shirt guaranteed to those who register by June 13th

Join the fun on Saturday, July 15th and run with Lucky the Lobster in the 3 Km charity road race (for the Summerside Boys and Girls Club) that leads the Lobster Carnival parade at 12:00 noon. Barbecued hot dogs for all participants and prizes for the best dressed Lobster and top male and female finishers!!

No Triathlon Race Day Registration except for the KOS Triathlon

If you are not a member of TriPEI you must purchase a one day $10.00 membership. Tri NS members will be reimbursed at registration check-in upon proof of membership. No mailing out fees. Up to the athlete to show proof of membership.

3 km Charity Run for the Summerside Boys and Girls Club

Join Lucky the Lobster at the 3 Km charity fun run. The run will start beside the Holman parking lot on Heather Moyse Drive at 12:00 noon leading the Lobster carnival parade and it will finish at the Credit Union Place.

Prizes for the best lobster costumes as well as the top 3 male and female finishers. There will also be a free barbecue for all participants.

Draft Legal Races: Under 26 development eventsbike courses race on closed roads

Draft Legal Bikes:

“In draft-legal events, bikes with the UCI Road Race homologation label (Code RD) are allowed. Bikes with the UCI Time Trial homologation label (Code TT) are also allowed providing they comply with the specifications in the ITU Competition Rules 5.2 b.)(ii). All bikes in draft legal racing must be fitted with standard drop bars only. Clip on bars are forbidden.”

Note: Athletes from different age categories may draft off each other and athletes of the opposite gender may draft of each other if numbers warrent opposite gender racing together.

Awards: Take place immediately after the last finisher in each event.

Swag: T- shirts are guaranteed if you are registered by June 13. Finisher medals for all

participants and awards for top three in each event.

Kids of Steel

KIDS OF STEEL (KOS) triathlons are designed to offer youth the opportunity to experience the sport of triathlon in a positive environment. The distances are much shorter than those in adult triathlons, and change as participants mature.

You can enter a KOS race with a minimum of equipment. All you need is:

a bike ( road or mountain bike), an approved helmet, running shoes
swim suit, goggles (if desired) T-shirt or race singlet for boys,
a SMILE and a DESIRE TO HAVE FUN and finish
