October 7th Virtual Event

Miles for Migraine & Runnin’ for Research Virtual Walk/Run

Saturday October 7, 2017 will be a momentous occasion. Miles for Migraine and Runnin’ for Research have teamed up to bring you the chance to join them LIVE from your hometown. Our organizations will be hosting walk / run events on the same day in Philadelphia, Denver and Morgantown, WV.

If you cannot join us live, then the idea is for you to join us virtually at the same time in your city, and post yourself doing your own event on your Facebook page, or take pics and email to us at: volunteer@milesformigraine.org so we can share for you.
We will be broadcasting the Philadelphia event beginning at 7:45 on the Miles for Migraine Facebook page, and Runnin’ for Research will broadcast their Morgantown event on their Facebook page. Imagine where this could go if we could get people in every state to walk/run/cheer all at the same time? Together, we will not only have a huge impact on migraine perception, but we could also perform a patient participatory event which has never occurred in the history of headache disease advocacy.
Miles for Migraine and Runnin’ for Research will pool the proceeds and 100% of the donations will go to headache disease research to help find a cure. Any donations collected by members of Clusterbusters will be donated back to that organization directly.

A virtual walk/race is one that can be done at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race in your town. You can walk/run at your pace wherever you like.

Here is how the October 7th event works:

Register yourself on this site. Using the pledge page and tools we provide, fundraise by collecting donations for yourself or your team. We'll have great prizes based on the amount you fundraise and an extra bonus for the biggest fundraisers. If you have raised enough to earn a t-shirt ($50) by September 25th, we will mail your shirt & prizes out to you for receipt by October 7th.

Don't want any prizes?
Just let us know and we’ll have the money spent on incentives go back to benefit Migraine & Headache Research.

Prizes awarded for top FUNDRAISERS*:

  • 1ST PRIZE: $200 Cash prize
  • 2ND PRIZE: $125 Cash prize
  • 3RD PRIZE: $75 Cash prize

*must fundraise at least as much as prize money awarded (e.g. first place must fundraise minimum of $200).
