Marketing specialist

Race Roster is an online event registration platform geared towards endurance events. We are looking for a creative marketing individual looking to become a digital marketing guru. Our team will take the actionable business intelligence to execute and build digital marketing campaigns to help sales close deals. In this role, you will work with key stakeholders to create content, develop campaigns, implement tactics, and track insights.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborates with peers and multiple stakeholder groups on the development and execution of targeted marketing programs, ensuring alignment with program objectives, product strategies, brand positioning, CRM best practices, and budgets
  • Responsible for delivering clear, persuasive copy for a variety of audiences via blog posts, case studies, website copy, sales aids, emails, landing pages, social media content, and other digital channels
  • Provide content management support for corporate website and other digital properties
  • Conduct research on the endurance/events industry to inform content writing and to leverage emerging trends 
  • Develops, designs, and implements monthly, quarterly, annual, ad hoc reports, and dashboards
  • Publish content in various HTML environments
  • Coordinate translation, proofreading, desktop publishing and creative design
  • Develop tracking and reporting of ROI on all marketing activities/campaigns
  • Build and execute social media plans through competitive research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification

Required knowledge

  • Understanding of digital marketing (demand generation, inbound marketing, marketing automation)
  • Strong research, writing, editing, and proofing skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud or equivalent marketing automation technology is an asset
  • Experience with MailChimp, Constant Contact or equivalent email marketing tools
  • Substantial skills and knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and Google Analytics
  • Experience with B2B marketing

  • Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness in completing tasks, and attention to detail
  • Creative thinking - the ability to constantly keep communications fresh and fun and the confidence to share ideas freely
  • Ability to build a work back schedule or project plan to manage cross-functional programs
  • Ability to work in a cross functional teams
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles
  • Comfortable in a high-tech work environment

Required professional designation/certification

  • Post-secondary education or diploma specialization in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in B2B marketing role
  • 1-2+ years of project management skills
