The Rotary Clubs of Lion’s Head, Hepworth Shallow Lake, Port Elgin, Southampton and Wiarton are once again, holding a fundraising walk and run on the 45th parallel in Lion’s Head. This is the 3rd Annual 5K walk/run and 10K run held at Bethal Missionary Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 21st.
The walk/run follows an out and back route on rolling paved roads starting on the 45th parallel through Lion’s Head and along Isthmus Bay Road. Participants will enjoy this picturesque run with spectacular views of Georgian Bay.
Proceeds from the event will go towards Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” project. This worldwide undertaking is to immunize all children under the age of 5 against the Polio virus and eventually eradicate the disease completely.
