This one mile fun run sponsored by Huntsville Hospital and directed by Huntsville Track Club is for kids preschool through 8th grade.
There is no registration fee. However, donations are accepted at the race to benefit pediatric oncology at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.
All finishers receive a T-shirt and ribbon.

Free month of training at D1 Sports Training & Therapy for each 1st-place boy & girl winner in grades 4th - 8th

Race Information
Who can run in the race?
Any child, preschool through 8th grade, may run and receive a t-shirt. Parents may run with smaller children, but adults do not receive t-shirts unless they make a $5 donation after 5:45 p.m. (while supplies last).
If my child misses his scheduled race, can he run with another group?
Yes. A child can run in another category if he misses his group or if he feels more comfortable running with a friend or sibling. But a child can only win or place when he runs with his own category. He will receive a t-shirt and participation ribbon, but he will not qualify for a medal or placement ribbon.
Location/Parking
The one-mile fun run course is located at the Jaycees Building on the north end of the runway of the Old Huntsville Airport. You are asked to enter the area via Airport Road on South Memorial Parkway and to exit the event using Johnson Road and Leeman Ferry Road. As the race grows in popularity, traffic increases. Allow ample travel time.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee, but donations to Huntsville Hospital Foundation are appreciated and will benefit pediatric oncology at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.
Concessions
Purchase hot dogs, hamburgers and more at Buffalo Rock concessions. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to benefit pediatric oncology at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.
Fair Play
To officially place in any race a child must cross the finish line alone. You may run with your child, but you cannot assist in a placement. Make sure your child understands the race course. Each child must begin at the starting line to qualify for a placement ribbon or t-shirt.
Who receives a T-shirt?
Each child who finishes the race will receive a t-shirt and a participation ribbon. There will only be one t-shirt per child regardless of the number of times the child runs. Sizes will consist of youth x-small, youth small, youth medium, youth large, adult small, adult medium and adult large, and will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis. Parents may make a $5 donation for a runner t-shirt after 5:45 p.m. (while supplies last).
Lost Child/Parent
In the event a child and parent cannot locate each other after the race, please go to Lost & Found near the award stage.
Publicity
Please note that the Fun Run is a public event which, on occasion, attracts media attention. Huntsville Hospital also takes photographs that may be used for marketing, advertising and social media purposes. By participating in this event, you grant the right to use you or your child’s image(s) for such purposes.
