The Bridgewater Triathlon Club is hosting the 10th Annual Riverport Duathlon from the same venue as last year -- the Riverport Community Centre. The bike course is a loop over mostly flat terrain with some rolling hills in the middle. The run is very flat and fast. Chip timed, great prizes plus a post race hot meal. A great way to end the TNS race season! Registration will open in early August ... please note the registration caps.
This event is part of the TNS race point series for 2014.
IMPORTANT: A Triathlon Nova Scotia (TNS) 2014 membership card must be presented upon registration. If you are not a member of TNS, a one-day membership fee MUST be purchased on race site from TNS, at a cost of $20.00. This provides you with insurance coverage for the event.

Safety
We are very fortunate to have 35+ volunteers -- many with race experience -- on the course at all the major intersections for the run and bike. The RCMP also provide support.
The Classic bike route is a 28k loop and there are sections where you will be between checkpoints. Triathlon Canada rules say you must be self supporting ... ie: if you have a flat, you should be able to repair it. We do have a sweeper vehicle that follows the last rider and can pick up riders that are unable to continue.
Swag and Awards
t-shirts for all participants. Early registrants can select their size.

Age group winners must be prepared to commit to attending Worlds while at the awards ceremony.
There will be a hot meal served at the Riverport Community Centre starting at approximately 12 noon.
