DOAC 8th Arm Lake Trail Race

3rd Event in DOAC 2015 Series

The Denwood Outdoor Athletics Club Arm Lake Trail Race will start and finish at Group D Campsite of the Arm Lake Campground. The 4K route circles the west arm of Arm Lake and will take you through bush on dirt trails and gravel roads (no paved trails) ascending and descending moderate hills while enjoying the view of the lake. To complete the 8K runners will do the 4K loop twice. The Kids 2K route will include a portion of the 4K loop. Extra volunteers will be monitoring this route for children's safety.

Location

Arm Lake Recreational Area, Group D Campsite is 16 km east of Wainwright on Hwy #14 and then 12 km south on Hwy # 610. (follow Arm Lake signs)

2K KIDS RACE Male and Female

  • (7yrs and under)
  • (8yrs – 12 yrs)

Bib/Chip Pick Up

Bibs (race numbers) will be provided to all competitors and must be worn on the front of the body.

Disposable Chips that you attach to the shoe laces by means of zip ties will be used.

Race bibs and disposable chips can be picked up:

  1. In advance September 26 between 6:00pm and 8:30pm. at Jack’s Place (218-10 Street, Wainwright) https://plus.google.com/113849530024802642534/about?gl=ca&hl=en
  2. On race day, September 27, between 9:15am and 10:15am at race location

There will be first, second, and third place medals awarded to the top males and females in each category.

Beverages, fruit and bagels will be available for participants.

Presentation of the Arm Lake Trail awards and the DOAC 2015 Series Medals will take place at this time.
