The Gearhead Sprint triathlon will be a very beginner friendly tri. We will start on the beach with a time trial swim start. One racer every 5 seconds. We will line you up by race number. Before the race starts we allow all competitors to change position for the swim start if you wish. (you can move up or back if you choose). A very well managed bike course supported by the Jonesboro Police department and the park will be closed to traffic during the run.
Triathletes will Swim 400 yards in Craighead Forest Lake, Ride 10.2 miles along scenic Crowley's Ridge and Run one 2.9 mile loop on the park road with your last half mile along the Lake Dam to the finish.
Duathletes will Run 2.3 miles along the gravel trail surrounding the lake, Ride 10.2 miles along scenic Crowley's Ridge and Run one 2.9 mile loop on the park road with your last half mile along the Lake Dam to the finish.
*All participants must be USA Triathlon members or purchase a one day event license for $12.00.*

- USA Triathlon membership card and picture ID will be required for packet pickup or you may bring your receipt from registering online with proof of USAT membership payment and Picture ID.
- There will be no refunds of registrations.
- Each triathlete & Duathlete registered will receive a goody bag full of cool swag. A performance race shirt to those registering by June 1, and other swag from our sponsors.
