Saint Simons Christian School partners with the Jekyll Island Authority to sponsor the 6th annual Under the Oaks Run- a 13.1 Half Marathon, 10K and 5K to be held on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday October 8, 2016 on the beautiful and scenic Jekyll Island. The courses are USATF certified and all three races are USATF sanctioned so that both casual and competitive runners may enjoy each event. The Half Marathon route will take you along a beautiful stretch of the Atlantic Ocean, under the majestic Live Oak trees in the historic Millionaires Village, and then along the marsh and riverfront of the beautiful Golden Isles. The 10K route also travels along the Atlantic Ocean and then turns toward the historic Millionaires Village and then on to the river front. The 5K route is great for all ages and is mapped along a scenic course that includes tree canopied, wide bike paths as well as glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean.

We welcome runners to a course that goes from the beaches to the marsh and under the majestic oaks of Jekyll Island!

Time Limit for the Race: 3 hours and 30 minutes

ALL RUNNERS WILL RECEIVE AN EVENT T-SHIRT AND A GOODY BAG.

PASTA PARTY: FRI, 10/7 5-8PM @ TORTUGA JACKS ON JEKYLL ISLAND $10 PER PERSON / $6 FOR KIDS 12 AND UNDER. TORTUGA JACKS WILL OFFER 10% OFF IF YOU PREFER TO ORDER FROM THEIR MENU. KITCHEN OPEN TIL 11PM.
