How are funds used?
If you are on a team, here is how the funds are used:
$10 from each child registration and $15 from each adult registration is used to cover the cost of the walk. The remainder goes to the charity (registered 501c3) selected from the left side of the page/as indicated in parenthses in your team name....see the "View Teams" button for examples.
If the charity (registered 501c3) of your choice is not listed, please contact the coordinator at the bottom of the page.
If your team does not select a charity, the funds will go to cover the cost of this year's walk and serve as seed money for next year's walk.
All funds will be calculated and dispersed after the event. Teams have until the end of the 2016 calendar year to collect/provide charity documentation.
All online fundraising is given to the charity selected (minus any processing fees).
If you are not on a team:
registration fees help cover the costs of this year's charity walk as well as serve as seed money for start up costs for next year's event.
Note:as of 3/15/2016 > processing fees are based on per transaction:
DONATIONS: all donations to charity incur a 5% fee (I.E. charities receive the donated amount less the fee, which is collected by the website host RaceRoster)
UPDATE: thanks to our generous sponsors and individual walkers, all charities will receive the full amount donated (ie the final checks they receive will not be less the processing fee)....thank you sponsors and individual walkers!
REGISTRATIONS: each registration incurs a 6.5% fee plus $1.25 processing (which is collected by the website host RaceRoster)
