Raise money for Royal Ottawa Fdn for Mental Health
DIFD is a youth-driven initiative focused on raising awareness and inspiring conversations about youth mental health. Created by friends and family of Daron Richardson who lost her life to suicide at the young age of 14, DIFD is inspired by hope for a future where young people will reach out for help without fear or shame. Funds raised through 9 Run Run will support two key intitiatives: Is It Just Me? Conversations about Youth Mental Health and the DIFD Mach-Gaensslen Chair in Suicide Prevention Research at The Royal. Is It Just Me? is an educational awareness program that helps students understand how their thoughts and feelings affect their mental health. The aim of the DIFD Mach-Gaensslen Chair in Suicide Prevention Research is to explore and create best practices to reduce the number of suicide attempts and completed suicides in Canada. This means building knowledge and working with health care providers, community organizations, and families to translate that knowledge into real solutions to prevent suicide and the devastating impact it has on Canadian families. Donate today and help us support the 1 in 5 who struggle with mental illness.
