Quarry Turkey

All races start and finish in the Quarry Lakes Recreational Area. The half marathon and 10K have out-and-back sections on the Alameda Creek Trail. The course is mostly dirt fire trails with a very small portion of pavement at the beginning and end. Hills are nearly non-existent, so bring on the speed!

TIME LIMITS

The half marathon will start at 8:00 am and the course will have a time limit of 4 hours. Runners must reach the 5th aid station (mile 9.09) by 10:45 am.

START TIMES

The half marathon will start at 8:00 am, the 10K at 8:20 am and the 5K at 8:40 am. Little Turkeys Race will start at 7:40 am.

COURSE MARKING

All participants can receive a copy of their appropriate course map on race day.

Each course will be marked with ribbons, flour and signs to help keep runners on the correct course. Volunteers will also be on the course at key locations to help direct runners.

AID STATIONS

As with all of our races, aid stations will be fully stocked with water, sports drink, gels, pretzels, candy, etc.

Aid stations will be approximately 2-3 miles apart.

Runners who may need more water, should carry their own water bottle or hydration pack.

BATHROOMS

Bathrooms will be available at the race start/finish area. There are also a couple of bathroom locations on the course.

SHIRTS

Half Marathon finishers receive a technical fabric t-shirt (unless they request cotton).

10K and 5K finishers will receive a cotton shirt, or have the option of upgrading to a technical shirt for $7.

All shirts are gender-specific and come in sizes ranging from youth small to men's 4XL.

Note about shirts: We will have many extra shirts, but because we order them in advance, you must be registered by 11/5 to be 100% guaranteed your requested shirt size.

FINISHER MEDALS

Custom medals will be given to all finishers.

DOUBLE TURKEY MEDALS!

Runners who participate in both Thanksgiving weekend races (Nitro Turkey on Thanksgiving Day and Quarry Turkey) will also be eligible for the "middle medal", making the 2016 "Double Turkey Mega-Medal"!

AGE GROUP MEDALS

Age-group medals (3 deep) will be awarded in the following categories:
