Police and volunteers will direct you to parking in nearby business lots off Embarcadero Rd. and E. Bayshore Rd. Plan on arriving early and carpooling if possible, as lots will fill up. We recommend arriving at least an hour before your event. Both Mings and the Stanford Eye Clinic don't want their spaces used so try to avoid those lots.
Race check-in, sponsor and race headquarter booths, first aid and food/water is on the infield of the Baylands Athletic Center, located at the end of Geng Rd.
The start and finish of all three events is in the (closed) parking lot at the Baylands Athletic Center. Each event heads out south on Geng Rd., turns east on Embarcadero Rd. and then out onto trails and levees south toward Mountain View. (See course maps for more details.) Note: The 5k course is new this year.
Limited checking of small personal bags & backpacks is available at the race headquarters tent.
Dogs are permitted on the 5K walk but not on either run, where the terrain and darkness makes it too dangerous to have them. No retractable leashes. Bring your own clean-up bag. Jogging strollers welcome in the 5k walk or at the back of either run.
Headlamps are highly recommended for both runs.
Race results will be available on computer monitors at the Baylands Athletic Center beginning at approximately 9:30.
Results will also be posted online at PaloAltoOnline.com. QR codes with the results web page will be on display at the event.
Medals for first, second and third place finishers in each division will be handed out once final results are in between 9:30 and 10, or may be picked up during regular business hours after the race at the Palo Alto Weekly, 450 Cambridge Ave., Palo Alto.
