For 40 years, Halleck Creek Ranch has invited people with disabilities, and their families, to live a “Life without barriers” through the beneficial activity of therapeutic horseback riding. Horseback riding promotes a unique sense of freedom and mobility, allowing riders to imagine the future, and to enjoy the present, in a way they never thought possible. For volunteers, their interactions with the riders teaches them that people with disabilities can do anything they want to, they just have to do it a little differently. The relationships between riders, volunteers, and horses establish connections that benefit our entire community. This year, we hope to raise much-needed funds to help us fill our barn with hay for our 19 amazing equine therapists. Our horses are in integral part of what we do, and we're so lucky to have each and every one of them on our team!
