When we got married we both knew that adoption was something to which God was leading us. In December 2015 we decided to begin the process of international adoption from Thailand, knowing that it would likely take about 2 years. Our journey to adopt is not due to infertility issues but rather a clear call from God and a passion for taking up the cause of orphans and those who are marginalized by society. Adopting from Thailand is something Kevin, who is half Thai, has wanted to do for a long time. Kate has also felt the call to international adoption and is excited that her husband and child will share a cultural background. There are some heartbreaking statistics surrounding human trafficking out of Thailand. Many children are sold into slavery at very young ages, especially little girls. In December 2016 we received and accepted a match for a baby girl! We are hoping to travel to Thailand to pick her up in December of this year.
