This Halloween invite your friends and family to help those less fortunate. For 9 years, the YMCA Creepy Crawl 5k Run/Walk has helped raise money to support and help provide opportunities for lower income families to participate in YMCA programs and membership. All funds raised stay right here in our community and will provide a hand up to a family in need. We need your help making the Creepy Crawl 5k run smoothly! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 


Volunteer Opportunities:

We have a variety of jobs available before, during and after the race! When you sign up, please check the dates adn times to ensure you are signing up for your desired shift.


Volunteer Check In:

Our volunteer coordinator will contact you closer to the event to give you further details on when and where to meet!

Volunteer Shifts

We have a variety of opportunities before, during and after the race! Here are descriptions of each job:

Packet Pickup

October 27th

Colorado Running Company

Hand out packets and assist with race

registrations.

 

RACE DAY October 28:      

 

 

Pre-Race Construction/

Parking/Finish Line 

20   7:00 Starting Line

Pre-Race Construction: Helps set-up start

& finish area.

Move to parking lot once set up.

Parking: Close main parking lot at 8am(ish).

Only allow VIP in or folks with special needs.

Finish Line: Head back in at 9:30am.

4 will go to finish line food.

 

Race Day Registration

& Kids Fun

Run Assistants

3 7:00 Starting Line

Race Day Registration: Will register

new runners. Clean up at 9:30am.

Kids Fun Run Assistant: 

Gather Kids, have parents form tunnel,

give prizes out to kids when they finish. 


PPU 5 7:00 Startling Line

Hand out packets to preregistered runners.

Clean up at 9:45am. Move to help with

Kids' Race. 

 

Timing Assistants 1 7:30 Starting Line

Run new registrations to timer.

Assist with getting print out of

awards to prize assistants. 

 

Photographer 1 8:00 Course

Take awesome photos.

 

Water Station 4 8:00 Turn Around Point

Hand out cups of water to runners at half

way point. May drive car with equipment

out to water station. 

 

Prize assistants 2 8:00 Starting Line

Help judge costumes, hand out prizes.

Assist with award ceremony

 

Emcee Assistant 1 8:00 Starting Line

Help emcee know what to say.

(Sponsor thank you's, prizes, runner's

names)

 

Y guy 1 8:00 Starting Line

Wear Y guy - be awesome

 

Course Monitor 1 9:30

At fork for Sante Fe Trail/

Palmer Lake right

hand turn

This person will start at the starting line

and help usher folks over to the starting

line for the beginning of the race.

This person will point runners to go

straight onto Sante Fe Trail heading south.

Once runners hit turn around and come back,

this person will guide runners to then turn

at the lake and have them go around. 

 

Lead Bike/

Race Sweeper

1 9:30 Starting Line

Will lead the runners on bike through

the course. Sweep Course afterwards

to ensure all runners/walkers are off course.

 

Clean Up Crew   11:00 Course

Everyone cleans up. Loads trailer.

Heads back to Y to unload trailer.
