The Medicine Hat College Rattler Run began in 1980. The goal for the run is to encourage physical activity. In 2012, the organizers launched the "I Run for ME" campaign. "I Run for ME" supports the importance of participants running for the best cause - themselves! Physical activity is a key component to one’s personal health and well-being. The MHC Rattler Run kicks off the spring and encourages everyone to – get active!

Awards & Prize Money
Medal ceremony for 3km at 11:45am
Medal ceremony for 5km at 12:00pm
Medal ceremony for 10 at 12:30pm
Prizes will be given to the 1st place overall Male and Female winners of the 3km, 5km, and 10 km races.
3k, 5k, 10k Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category.

IMPORTANT Note! Snacks and refreshments provided for all racers following in MHC main lobby with award presentations being held downstairs in the GYMNASIUM!
Bouncy Castle will be located downstairs in the gymnasium - Thank you to MHC Campus Recreation for providing this to our Rattler Run Families!
Race Package Pick Up
Participants can pick up their race packages in the Medicine Hat College Main Lobby.
Friday, April 28th from 5pm till 9pm
Saturday, April 29th starting at 9am
Someone can pick up your package for you.
Race Rules
- Each competitor must follow mapped course as directed.
- All participants must follow the directions of race officials, marshals, volunteers, security and follow the course as marked. You must make way immediately for all emergency vehicles, including Police, Fire Brigade and Ambulance.
- Each participant must wear the timing chip provided to them in their race package (do not swap with anyone else). The chip must be worn as described on the instruction sheet that comes with them at time of race package pickup.
- Participants must also remove all other timing chips from previous events.
- Race routes may change at any point leading up to the event for reasons which may include but are not exclusive to: safety, weather, road or pathway disruptions.
- The organizers reserve the right to alter without notice any of the Race Rules which govern the event.
- No dogs permitted to accompany runners (unless it is a service dog)
- Max Times to complete race are as follows:
- 45 minutes for the 3km race
- 60 minutes for the 5km race
- 90 minutes for the 10km race
