About Northland Early Education Center
NEEC is a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit early education center and preschool with a mission to provide quality early education and therapy services for children age’s birth to 5 who have special needs as well as early education for children who have typical needs, in a fully inclusive classroom environment in order for them to reach their full potential. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from The Hangar Party will directly benefit NEEC’s early education and therapy services program. Did you know?
- Very few preschools provide early education for children with special needs alongside their typically developing peers. Even fewer offer on-site therapy services for children with special needs.
- There are only four organizations in entire Kansas City Metropolitan area (400-mile radius) that provide similar services for this targeted age group. NEEC is one of two located in the Northland community.
- In 2016, NEEC provided early education and/or therapy services for 229 children, 59% whom are children who have special needs.
- Studies have shown that for every dollar spent on early education/preschool programs such as NEEC’s, there is a benefit to our community of $8.60 through savings in elementary and secondary education, employment and earnings later in life.
