How will fundraising dollars be used?
Donors are an essential part of our Hospital’s health care team, they give our caregivers the tools they need to heal, comfort, and care for patients at Guelph General Hospital.
Equipment as essential as IV pumps, surgical scopes and diagnostic scanners are available at Guelph General Hospital only because of generous support from within our community.
The goal of this year’s races is to raise $20,000 to purchase a Fast Flow Fluid Warmer. When patients’ lives are at stake from significant blood loss due to trauma or major surgery, every second counts. The fluid warmer allows for immediate and rapid flow of blood and I.V. fluids at normal body temperature.
One of every two dollars spent on hospital equipment at Guelph General Hospital comes from community support.
