Color in Motion 2017

5K Run

Get out and get active 80's style while enjoying beautiful scenery and supporting our local youth here in Hannibal! Color in Motion is a colorful 5K run/walk to support the Hannibal Kids in Motion and Teens in Motion programs. Color in Motion is untimed, but there will be a clock at the finish line for those who wish to note their time.

NEW this year- a costume contest! Grab your neon tights and legwarmers, or channel your inner BonJovi. A prize will be awarded to the best costume, to be determined by a panel of judges the day of the race. Returning this year is the largest team contest. In addition to a trophy, the largest team will enjoy a homecooked dinner, cooked by the kids, at First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal!
Kids In Motion (KIM) is a pre-employment/service learning training program for at-risk youth in 6-8 grade . The mission of our program is to teach teens and pre-teens to value work, to value their community, and to value their future. In 2016, Teens in Motion was launched, and serves high school aged youth in Hannibal. More information can be found on the KIM Website

During the race, participants will be doused with a non-toxic dyed cornstarch powder. This powder will wash out of clothes, however participants should know that they will be fairly messy after the race is complete. We suggest bringing a towel to sit on in your car or a change of clothes for after the race.
