Davis Red Shoe Rally

Davis GMC Buick in Medicine Hat is committed to supporting important services in the community. To help raise awareness to the issue of sexual violence against men and women, Davis GMC Buick has challenged our staff to raise funds in support of the Southeastern Alberta Sexual Assault Response Committee (SARC).

1/3 girls and 1/6 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18. Without support and intervention, this can lead to addiction, PTSD, mental health issues, and suicide. SARC's services include sexual trauma specific counselling, prevention education programs, and community collaboration to ensure a unified response to sexual violence across the region.

Davis GMC Buick is raising awareness by recruiting staff to raise funds in support of SARC's counselling program. Managers and employees will be wearing high heel shoes in a fun challenge, only being allowed to take the shoes off after they have raised enough money for SARC.

Shoe Removal Fees

Managers - $600.00 (or $100 per hour)

Employees - $300.00 (or $50 per hour)

The more money you raise, the less time you will spend wearing the shoes!

SARC will provide the footwear - they have up to men's size 14! If they don't have your size you can decorate a pair of shoes you already own.
