Raise money for Medics for Mental Health
Did you know, that in 2015, The Tema Conter Foundation reported 51 First Responders and 17 military members died by suicide in Canada. In 2016, 48 First Responders and 15 military members died by suicide in Canada.
To date, since April of 2014, Tema reports a total of 207 suicides!!!!
This trend needs to stop. Lets do our part to bring awareness to mental health importance in First Responders and help create a new trend! A trend to speak up. A trend to talk. A trend to seek help!
We have organized a 50km and 100km bike ride around Oxford County, starting and finishing in Woodstock. All 2017 proceeds and donations will be going to the Peer Support and Family Assistance Fund through the Tema Conter Charitable Foundation.
The money raised goes to provide funding to those individuals who cannot afford access to the services of a mental health professional; a Pyschologist or Psychotherapist.
Collecting pledges and donations are not mandatory, but ENCOURAGED!! (***Prizes for top three Fundraisers*** And personalized cycling jersey to everyone that raises minimum $100.00 donations by July 1)
All riders are welcome, you do not need to be a First Responder to join us on the ride. The more the merrier!
