Hannah Pote Run For Education 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
Hannah Pote was an outstanding SHS student athlete who was tragically killed in a car accident on December 18, 1997. This race was established to honor Hannah's tremendous spirit and love of Starkville High School. The race is open to the public and offers a 5K race as well as a 1 mile fun run for children. Funds raised will directly support teacher and special school project grants within the Starkville School District.
5K - Very flat, fast road course with traffic control
1 Mile Fun Run - Closed to traffic, safe, flat, out & back road course
Friday Packet Pickup - at SHS at the tailgate and touchdown tent Sponsored by the Foundation from 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday Packet Pickup - at race site from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Packet Includes: T-shirt, coupons, assorted giveaways, race bib
1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded in the following categories:
|10 & Under||20-29||50-59|
The overall male & female and overall male & female masters
will be awarded a trophy.
All 1 Mile Fun Run finishers will receive a medal.
