RideUNITED Birmingham with your family and friends pass the historic Civil Rights sites throughout the City of Birmingham. The 15, 32 and 71 mile social ride down Richard Arrington.Jr. Blvd, Fred Shuttlesworth Blvd and Abraham Woods Blvd pass the burial sites of the four little girls killed in the bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church and through more than 9 historic neighborhoods. This year we will add a 71 mile route take riders pass the spot where Virgil Ware, a 13 year old boy was shot and killed while riding his bike with his brother on the same day of the tragic bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church.
Families and kids can RideUnited Birmingham's 5 mile Kids Ride through the treeline streets of downtown Birmingham pass many of the historic Civil Rights sites. Kids get a fun ride and a powerful educational opportunity.
This ride will have SAG support for all routes.
Your tax deductable donations helps to support Motorist Education Programs, Free Bikes for Kids Program, Bike Helmet Initiative, Cycling 101 Sessions and other urban community cycling activities.
