Help us raise money

Most of you know what our daughter, Tamara, had endured in her journey through the hell that is cancer treatment, but you probably do not know how vital the camp experience was to her. The daily visits from her friends (“counsellors”) were often the only thing that got her out of bed. They brought a break from the bland hospital walls, helped her brave the needles and helped her feel like a kid again. They gave her the hope and strength to keep fighting. Tamara’s Angels is proud to participate in The Sporting Life 10K run to raise funds for Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children living cancer and the after-effects of treatment. Camp gives these children an opportunity to enjoy some time experiencing activity and the great outdoors without the constraints of hospital walls, but with the full on-site medical support of volunteer doctors, nurses and counsellors. These camps never charge the families. They rely solely on donations for their financial needs. Thank you.
