My Story…
Every year since I began running in 2011 I have participated in the Canada Army Run. This race has special meaning to me because I run in my cousin's memory.
My cousin, Corporal Shane Keating, died on September 18th, 2006 at 30-years-old. While handing out school supplies, toys, balls and biscuits to local children, Shane and three other soldiers were killed by a suicide bicycle bomb attack.
This year in addition to participating in the Commander's Challenge I thought I would also fundraise for the Army Run's charities Soldier On and Support our Troops.
For the Commander's Challenge I will participate in both the 5k and half marathon races.
