A portion of The Gay 10K registration proceeds will benefit Legacy Community Health, as well as the funds raised by individuals and teams. The funds will fuel the many programs and services Legacy provides, which include adult primary care, pediatrics, behavioral health services, vaccinations and immunizations, wellness and nutrition, comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, and more. Legacy’s services and programs are also open to all, regardless of the ability to pay. “We are incredibly grateful to be this year’s Gay 10K beneficiary,” said Chree Boydstun, Chief Development Officer for Legacy. “Houston has a vibrant LGBT community, and we want to keep it healthy and happy. Funds raised for this event will be reinvested back into community-based health services, offered to our patients without judgment.”
