This foundation was founded by the family of William (Billy) Warneke, who perished in the Yarnell Hill Fire. The mission is to "preserve the memory and legacy of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who perished on June 30 2013; the William Howard Warneke Memorial Foundations will offer support and financial assistance to first responders, military veterans, and their families. The foundation strives to serve as selflessly as William Howard Warneke served his country". The foundations offers support and scholarships to youth who desire to become first responders.
