Help Don & Geri raise money

For participating in Katie's Run for Epilepsy 2018

My Story…

This past year was a reminder that epilepsy is so unpredictable and could rear its ugly head anytime it wants to. It's been a tough go this past year as Katie had surgery, a diagnosis of celiac disease, endometriosis and a breakthrough seizure last August! She lost her momentum and was set back in so many ways and she is just now getting her feet back under her. The unpredictability of epilepsy wreaks havoc on your emotional well being, that's for sure. Our theme for 2018 is SUDEP, Sudden Unexpected Death in EPilepsy. By no means is this an easy subject and it is something that triggers fear in those living with epilepsy, yet many living with epilepsy have no knowledge of SUDEP. Stories from bereaved families have been shared through the website. We will honour the loved ones lost by raising awareness, sharing possible ways to help mitigate risk (Katie is in an elevated risk category) and doing our very best to raise more funds for #epilepsyresearch
