Norvan Falls is a beautiful waterfall hike located in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, in North Vancouver. The trail that we will be using runs parallel to Lynn Creek, is relatively flat, and is a lush and green out and back style course where the turnaround point is at a gorgeous waterfall.
Who is this for?
This run is for anyone and everyone looking to get away for the day and spend time in nature by a gorgeous, rushing waterfall. We expect the run to take between 3 and 4 hours, so if you have a basic fitness level, have hiked for a few hours at a time before and have some experience trail running, we believe this run is suited to you since the elevation is minimal.
If you want to get your feet wet, make new friends, and join us for our only adventure run this year that's less than 20km, this is definitely for you. No runner will be left behind!

More Detailed Description of the Run:
The first 4km follows a well groomed trail along the river - easy running, not technical at all. Then we will come to a rocky clearing known as the debris chute that leads to Norvan Falls. This section of the trail is rocky, sometimes wet (depending on the weather), and rooty, so here it can be considered technical in spots but overall, the elevation is very minimal, which makes this part of the course still runnable.
As we approach the falls, we will hear the sound of the rushing waterfall. The trail follows a long boardwalk and then descends down towards the river. When we reach the falls there is a small lookout spot that's a bit sketchy due to some erosion, so we're going to skip this and follow the trail down to the water for the big payoff that is the waterfall. There are plenty of large rocks here to sit on for snacks and if anyone needs a break, but also (depending on the water level) we should be able to rock hop a bit to get the best view of the waterfall and take some photos.
When we’re done taking in the falls, we will return to the Lynn Headwaters Park entrance the same way we came.
