The Erik Hite Foundation is a non-profit organization established to memorialize the life and sacrifice of Tucson Police Officer Erik D. Hite, who was killed in the Line-of-Duty onJune 2, 2008.
Recognizing that emergency responders and their civilian support personnel work unique and demanding schedules, and are often subject to untimely call-outs after hours when most childcare facilities are closed, the Erik Hite Foundation’s vision is to offer childcare services and support family outreach programs based on godly principles to these individuals.
Through a variety of fundraising initiatives, the Erik Hite Foundation opened its first childcare facility in late June 2011 and is currently serving over 80 families affiliated with all law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and military in our community.
