Our story…
Most of you know I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer stage 3C clear cell in December of 2016. I will be participating the 11th annual Let’s ROC 5K Run for Ovarian Cancer on September 16, 2018 in Sacramento, CA. My niece Sage and sister-in-law Hillery will be running with me. The main focus of this race is to raise money to find a preventive screening test for ovarian cancer; currently there is no preventive screening test for ovarian cancer. Imagine if we did not have an early screening test for breast, colon, or prostate cancer? We have to find a better screening test. I spent four month of having grueling IV and IP chemotherapy. If I had been diagnosed earlier my treatment would have been less invasive and my chances of recurrence would be much lower I have 80% of recurrence.
