For Charity, For Fun, We Run
We are SJVRC, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization was established in September 2016 and consists of compassionate volunteers to raise funds for the unprivileged children throughout Vietnam and promote running within the Vietnamese community. On Sunday, September 30, 2018, we are hosting our 2nd Annual 5K and 10K Charity race, the race welcomes and includes: from casual beginning runners to active elite runners with different fitness levels and running backgrounds. SJVRC's primary goal is to encourage and foster physical health; expanding community support and networking; and most importantly, raising funds to support orphanages – “One Mile 4 One Child.” Charity fund
Runners will start at the beautiful Lake Almaden Park and traverse along the scenic Los Alamitos Creek Trail, then turn around to finish at the Arroyo Picnic Area at the lake and enjoy wonderful post race treats. This is a family friendly event for the whole family and friends.
All participants receive a timing bib, tech T-shirt and finisher's medal designed by the local artists.
Awards are given out to top 3 10K and top 3 5K males and females.
All proceeds go to OneChild4OneMile charity fund, 501(c)(3)
Due to the safety of all runners, no dogs and strollers are allowed.
Refunds & Cancellations: All registration fees are non-refundable. This policy applies to all registrants whether you are injured, have an unexpected family/business emergency, have a medical emergency, etc. If the course has to be altered or cancelled due to an act of nature, or the event time changed due to circumstances beyond our control, there are no refunds.

SJVRC Virtual 5k run is a great way to support our charity and participate from anywhere in the United States. A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. And your shirt and medal will be shipped directly to you. Just run your 5k between 9/22/18 and 9/30/18 and we will send your shirt and medal to you 10/15/18
