My Story…

As many of you know my life has full of different change in the last 12 months. The most positive change has been my employment with Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS). I will be running a half marathon this month to support this non-profit organisation. I am asking all of you to provide a small donation which is 100% tax decidable. Thank-you in advance!

Canada continues to be home of diverse cultures. Vancouver is home to 913,300 immigrants, 40.0% of Vancouver's total population (Statistics Canada, July 25, 2018). At Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS), our mission is to empower immigrant and refugee women to fully participate in Canadian life through neighborhood-based programs. We served 1,263 participants in 2018 through 20 different programs. This year, we have been able to offer free Language classes to immigrant and refugee women. Our future wish is for all PIRS programs to be free of charge.
