My Story…

Hello! Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you will join me in raising money for this worthy organization. Since joining in 2018, I have heard many inspiring stories from those whose lives have changed as a result of the services provided by PIRS. It is a small but mighty organization, making an important difference in the lives of newcomers, and in our community as a whole. If you are interested in supporting women and children on their journey in Canada, please consider making a donation. Thank you for your support!

Help Us Invest In Diversity

Canada continues to be home of diverse cultures. Vancouver is home to 913,300 immigrants, 40.0% of Vancouver's total population (Statistics Canada, July 25, 2018). At Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS), our mission is to empower immigrant and refugee women to fully participate in Canadian life through neighborhood-based programs. We served 1,263 participants in 2018 through 20 different programs. This year, we have been able to offer free Language classes to immigrant and refugee women. Our future wish is for all PIRS programs to be free of charge.
